This homemade hummus recipe is sooo quick and easy and believe me tastes so much better than shop bought hummus.
Ingredients:
1 can of chickpeas
2 tablespoons of tahini
2 cloves of garlic minced
Squeeze of lemon juice
1teaspoon of cumin
1/2 teaspoon of salt
Pepper to season
Method:
Add tahini to blender and and blitz for 20seconds. Add lemon juice and garlic. Drain and wash chickpeas. Add half the chickpeas and some water to blender and blitz. Add cumin, salt and pepper and remainder of chickpeas and blend to desired consistency.
Try different variations by adding chilli or red peppers. Enjoy as dip, in pittas or sandwich or as an accompaniment to your meal.
Chickpeas contain significant amounts of fibre and protein.
