This recipe is for a chia seed energy bar. This is a really simple, fast and delicious recipe. This snack is perfect if you are going running or to an exercise class after work and haven’t eaten since lunch, for breakfast or if you are experiencing an afternoon slump!
Ingredients:
- 3 bananas
- Quarter cup of chia seeds
- Quarter cup of crushed nuts (I used walnuts and almonds)
- Quarter cup of raisins
- 2 cups of oats
Method:
Mash the bananas into a large bowl until smooth. Next stir in oats. Add raisins, chia and nuts. Press into a lightly greased baking tray and bake at about 150 for half an hour or until the top begins to brown and the corners crisp. I am not a baker but this recipe is so simple to do and gives about 9 square energy bars.
